g0v零時政府是一個推動台灣資訊透明化的社群，致力於開發公民參與社會的資訊平台與工具，讓公民能夠更容易閱讀與理解與公共議題有關的資料。
我們相信旅美的台灣人有著非常強大的開發能量，如果這些人能夠瞭解g0v社群協作模式並且找到人一起合作，他們將能貢獻出自己的知識與技術來幫助台灣建立更良好的民主社會。
我們需要您的支持來舉辦一場Hackathon，把關心台灣民主的夥伴齊聚到Washington DC一起腦力激盪與動手實作開發Open Data專案，並於活動結束後在美東形成一個有開發能量、能為台灣民主產生實質貢獻的社群。
g0v.tw is an online community that promotes information transparency. It is dedicated to developing information platforms and tools for civic engagement and making the information related to public issues more accessible and comprehensible.
We believe that many overseas Taiwanese in the U.S. have great potential for program development. If they can take in g0v’s collaboration model and build their own community, they can contribute their knowledge and expertise to help build a better democracy in Taiwan.
We need your support to organize a Hackathon, a hacker’s marathon, through which we will bring the programmers and activists who are interested in Taiwanese democracy to brainstorm together and develop open data projects. Through the event, we aim to form a g0v community with the capacity of developing programs and making a solid impact on Taiwanese democracy in the U.S.
活動內容Program
我們特地邀請到了g0v的創辦人高嘉良、瞿筱葳，以及沃草創辦人柳林瑋來分享如何透過網路社群協作開發來幫助降低民主門檻，以及國際開放資料、開放政府的經驗。活動也會邀請DC當地的Civic Hackers來分享美國的Open Data經驗。三位主要講者也會跟著參與者一起腦力激盪、共同開發專案，並協調台灣的社群加入協作。
We are glad to invite the founders of g0v.tw, Chia-liang Kao and Ipa Chiu, and the founder of Watchout, Dr. Wei Liulin, to share their experience in lowering the barrier to democracy through online collaboration and their involvement in global open data and open government. We will also invite DC-based civic hackers to present their experience about open data in the U.S. Three Taiwanese speakers will join the brainstorming and the process of developing projects with attendees and help coordinate the g0v community in Taiwan to collaborate on the projects.
Keynote Speeches之後會是24hr的馬拉松式小組開發，有點子的夥伴能上台發表他想做的案子，需要哪些人幫，然後分組下去討論、找資料、寫程式。結束前發表半成品，結束後在自己所在的城市找到夥伴繼續開發！
The keynote speeches will be followed by a one-day hackathon. Participants can present their ideas and find team members to discuss and collaborate with. Participants will report their work-in-progress at the end of the event, and they can continue working on the projects with their local hacker/coder communities.

我們活動經費共需$10,000.
(講者機票住宿：$2,800 場地：1,000 參與者交通費：4,500 餐飲：$1,500 耗材 $200) 我們預計跟其他單位募款9,000，並希望由小額捐款補齊$1,000。

1. 參與者同質性過高，缺乏關鍵技術人才
2.參與者人數過少
因應方式：成功的g0v黑客松應該要有議題關注者、後端程式設計師、前端網頁開發者、UI/UX設計師等。這就是為什麼我們希望提供補助、把全美各地的志同道合夥伴徵召過來的原因，Pool越大，可能來參與的人的多元性就更大。
不過如果真的仍缺乏其中某種技術的人才，我們仍能夠把需求寫清楚，放在g0v的hackpad上面，由台灣社群的高手來補足。
目前我們聽到令人振奮的消息：g0v的資深工程師、沃草工程師LY想要從新加坡飛過來參加，或許您也可以把一部份的經費支持他飛過來，有他加入我們，活動產出應該會大增喔！！
另外，我們會依照報名情況來決定是否加開training workshop, 如果某些關鍵技術真的缺人，我們就在22下午安排workshop讓參與者現場學習這些技術。
