      • 本文作者為三位委內瑞拉的左翼學者，文章以玉米餅（Arepas）這一委內瑞拉常見食物切入，分析食物短缺背後的國際政治與階級鬥爭關係。首先，委內瑞拉的農業現代化與殖民主義相結合，造成了目前高度仰賴進口的食物體系。而各種以「人民反抗」為名的行動，背後不僅是美國希望透過經濟制裁／封鎖打擊玻利瓦革命成果，也包含了當地精英階層希望醜化政府以奪取政治權力的動機，而底層人民則成為過程中最大的受害者。最後，文章也介紹了委內瑞拉民眾在面對上述處境下，採取的包含團結經濟、改變農業生產種植模式、建立農村公社與農夫市集等抵抗策略。
