    press release The Taiwanese have been advocating for marriage equality for decades. In 2005, legislator Hsiao Bi-Khim first introduced the same-sex marriage bill. Through the 2016 presidential election, people elected the candidate of Democratic Progress Party (DPP), Tsai Ing-wen, as the president, who publicly promised to advocate for LGBTQ rights and the legislation of same-sex marriage during her campaign. After the election, civic groups held the 14th annual LGBTQ Pride parade, which is the largest in Asia, in October, and the issue of legalization of same-sex marriage has entered the agenda of the Judiciary and Organic Laws and Statutes Committee in the Congress.     *在台灣的同志婚姻平權民法修正案排入司法及法制委員會的議程，準備進入實質審查的階段，反同性婚姻團體透過雄厚的財力，不僅買下各大報頭版廣告與各電視頻道黃金時段的廣告，散布無關修法內容且明顯偏離事實的恐同資訊，並屢次透過教會組織強力動員，向立法委員及各黨團施壓，希望透過訂立專法的選項拖延同性婚姻的修法進程。我們不禁要問，擁抱多元價值、以自由平等之人權自豪的台灣，怎能任由反同團體以守舊單一的價值觀一再踐踏少數人權，甚而要求國家的法律為其服務？ 為了表達對於婚姻平權與民法修正案的支持，自11/28台灣超過兩萬人於立院外集結後，海外台灣人也發起了「海外台灣人支持修正民法，力挺婚姻平權！」活動。此活動主要包含實體聲援行動、拍照打卡聲援、尋求國際組織支持等面向。整體於美東時間11月30日中午十二點以美國華府作為起點，當日大華府地區選擇於去年通過美國同性婚姻合法化、極具婚姻平權指標性意義的美國聯邦最高法院前召開記者會，點燃橫跨美國、加拿大、英國、德國、日本、澳洲的全球接力聲援。截至發稿時間為止，已有超過25個城市舉辦聲援活動，希望藉此對台灣仍在為同志婚姻平權奮戰的同運團體及立法委員表達支持、平衡反同婚團體嚴重混淆視聽的動員模式、並向台灣仍在婚姻平權議題上搖擺不定的黨團以及個別立法委員施壓。 聲援行動 自華府地區記者會後，聲援行動在本週五由德州大學奧斯丁分校接棒，週六在紐約以及美國杜克大學兩地舉辦，週日則有日本神戶 umie MOSAIC 大摩天輪、德國柏林猶太紀念館、漢堡Winter Pride同志聖誕市集、美國波士頓劍橋市政府以及北卡羅萊納州立大學校徽地標老井多方響應。紐約場行動（影片紀錄）聚集了超過百外的台灣人與外國朋友一同遊行，終點停留在美國同志平權運動重要發源地—石牆酒吧前，與台灣同志運動呼應。集會過程中，除了當地人士加入遊行表達支持外，也與當地中國男同志團體進行交流與串連，希望台灣作為亞洲地區最有可能合法化同性婚姻的先鋒，也能為其他亞洲國家的同志推進婚姻平權運動。柏林的遊行以亞歷山大廣場為起點，行經布蘭登堡門，最後來到猶太紀念館。由於在二戰期間，希特勒除了屠殺猶太人之外，也迫害上萬名同志，因此選在這個地點進行聲援帶有以歷史為借鏡之意。值得一提的是，柏林的集會在一開始就有當地已婚女同志婦人主動表示有關注台灣同志婚姻修法的爭議，並對台灣的同志運動表達支持。在美國首先認可同性婚姻的麻州（在2004年即通過法案）也有活動；波士頓的聲援者在接近攝氏零度的寒風中，聚集在全美第一例同性婚姻締結之處——劍橋市政府，表達支持婚姻平權的立場，現場有許多參與者分享自己和身邊的家人朋友一路走來的心路歷程。冒著大雨，神戶的朋友選在umie MOSAIC大摩天輪進行聲援，則是為了駁斥護家盟秘書長張守一「同志婚姻合法化後，有人會跟摩天輪結婚」的荒謬說法。於西雅圖，除了集會聲援外，主辦單位也邀請當地育有一對雙胞胎的同婚媽媽Pochian Lee以及Keystone聯合基督教會的Jerry Chang牧師，與同志熱線的呂欣潔進行跨國視訊座談，企圖在守舊與革新衝突之中，撐開對話空間。該活動全程皆有線上直播。 全球各地支持同志婚姻平權的串連聲援活動將持續延燒到12月10日國際人權日。當天除了台灣在凱達格蘭大道的同志平權大遊行之外，將有日本的東京、竺波大學、名古屋，美國的雙城、休士頓、舊金山、芝加哥、西雅圖、安娜堡、紐澤西、匹茲堡，荷蘭的蒂爾堡、阿姆斯特丹，德國明斯特，英國倫敦、曼徹斯特、愛丁堡，澳洲雪梨、墨爾本、坎培拉，加拿大多倫多、溫哥華⋯⋯等全球22個城市跨海響應。
